For sale is my M1860 Spencer rifle. I was part of the N-SSA about 20 years ago, and just purchased this Spencer (along with some other CW rifles) from another shooter who's been out of the N-SSA for just a couple of years. S/N on this Spencer is 9481. Couldn't find an exact S/N match, but 9501 was issued to a member of the 5th Independent Company of Ohio Volunteers (Sharpshooters) on August 16, 1863. The previous owner said that the barrel had been relined. It has also been converted for centerfire. I did remove the stock to check the S/N on the barrel and it matched the one on the receiver. It's in great shape with a nice patina. Looks like the rear sight might be a replacement. There's a very slight amount of wiggle in the lever. Not sure if this is normal, but I suspect so. Pictures can be seen at: http://s803.photobucket.com/albums/yy319/jmcardle34/ (http://s803.photobucket.com/albums/yy319/jmcardle34/)

The number I've got in mind is $3600 including shipping & insurance, but feel free to submit offers.

Was there not a 'bunch of other stuff' posted on this thread just a few moments ago?
What happened to those little bits an pieces of information?

Sorry... different section of the BB.
Same gun, different posting. Such things confuse me at my age. Never mind!

Great rifle here. Price too high? I'm willing to negotiate.

After consulting with some folks who are more in "the know" than I, the asking price for this great rifle is being lowered to $2900.
