Do a e-bay search in completed auctions in the CW Collectables, original item catagory. As with anything else price depends on condition, dug or non-dug. That will tell you what people are paying for them.

Things that affect prices are condition, dug or non dug, backmarks and what states. You could always get a copy of North South Trader price guide. However, IMO the prices are somewhat high since most of the input came from dealers and the economy has not been the greatest. I see many people selling off collections on e-bay which includes buttons.

I have no problem finding buttons in completed auctions. Here are a couple I have for information.

I assume they are coat size. The price guide puts them at 350. In reality I think you could get around $200. Not too many Maryland buttons out there so it is hard to determine a price. They have a nice back mark.

Why don't you just ask them....info@horsesoldier.com

What your button is worth depends entirely on who you've found willing to actually pay for it.

I've been buying Wisconsin buttons for years on E-Bay. It's a spotty market. I've actually paid between less than $5 up to a little over $20, but also seen them go for over $100. The back stamp information is obvious, but there are also other subtle differences that make for huge difference to what it's worth to a button collector.

I'm not a button collector, but have bought a couple dozen or so intending to make some uniform coat unique to Wisconsin. I've found the most difficult WI buttons to find are cuff buttons.

Put them on Gunbroker with a start price that's high and if they don't sell bring the price down 'till they do.

You could always check any online shop selling civil war buttons for you to weigh the range of how much it worth.http://imagicon.info/cat/0/vbulletin-rolleyes.gif
