the News story on a TV news hour the other day about some characters who run a program called "Myth Busters" and their experiment with a cannon? They obviously didn't have a clue what they were doing and tried to fire a shot at a target. Missed it clean, ball went 3300 yards, bounced off a parking lot , went through a house and ended up in a car. Much more of that crap and we will find ourselves looking at Federal regulations up the gazoo! :-(

Hi Bill

My only remark about that TV show is that you can't fix stupid...... I and my sons have watched the show on and off and they do some really, really dumb things.

I am sure the range that they were shooting at is now unavailable and probaby should have been prior to the "accident". Do to the large built up area down range.

Happy Holidays!

(from Wiki):

" ... the experiment was being carried out at the Alameda County Bomb Range under the supervision of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office..."

That is, if the feds come around, they would also take a look at the ACSO.

Adam and Jamie have also been known to thumb their balls whenever they get near their Enfield.

You cannot fix stupid! These guys do dumb stuff all the time.

As I understand it, they did not realize cannonballs do bounce off hard surfaces. The bounce is what led to the damage.

Here's a video on the canon incident, and additional videos on some other mishaps they've had:

"...On Tuesday, as has now been widely reported, the MythBusters misfired a cannon..."

We all know what the damage would have been if they had, in fact, "misfired" the cannon.

It's better than watching a bunch of self centered people pretend they're alone on an island!

That is why I only watch quality television, I only watch "Keeping up with the Kardasian's." To be honest I have found it quite hard:D

Here's one a buddy passed to me yesterday. I think these are the guys from "Sons of Guns", but may show up on a future list of the annual Darwin Awards. How many safety violations can you count?

The folks in this video are not from Sons of Guns but another program called American Guns. I watched the program once and was not impressed with AG. SOG does seem to be slightly more safety orriented. My problem with them is WHY build some of the things they build. Just because they can doesn't mean they should. Example truck mounted flame thrower.
