Hi Troops:

This isn't precisely a subject for shooting but this site is where one can ask for help so here goes.
I have a small 16 foot Astra camper trailer of 1973 vintage. She isn't fancy but she keeps my poor butt dry when the "Shenandoah Sunshine" pours down. Unfortunately, she was the subject of an ill advised effort to re-locate her the other day and has suffered some damage. I suspect the treatment she suffered will open up some seams and leaks will result.
I have seen some campers with what appears to be rubber sheet glued over their tops. Can any good soul here point me to a source for rubber or neoprene sheet that I could get to cover the roof with? I can probably use some silastic in a tube to treat any windows or side seams that have begun to leak but the roof will be the big issue.

Bill,
Pardon the obvious, but any RV service and repair facility will have, or can get, either rubber or vinyl roll roofing for you. There's a Camping World on the SW side of Winchester, but with a little investigation, you should be able to beat their price. Hope this helps some.

What you are looking for is called Snow and Ice Shield, in my part of the woods here in PA. I think that you can buy it at Lows and Home Depot. I do not know if you can just buy what you need or if you have to buy the whole roll. Hope this helps.

If your camper has a "rubber roof", that can be repaired, or, worst case, replaced.

Then there are "goops" that you can put down on the entire roof to seal them. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

My old 1990 Winnebago Warrior has a gooped roof. Still leaks.

Now I have to pry off the goop and the old roof to make repairs. :(
