349337338Original Smith Carbine for sale, I am revising my price to what I was told is a more reasonable range for a weapon in this condition. Ser# in 12000's numbers crisp and match, lettering for manufacturer well-worn and in some instances gone from wear of saddle ring, but guessing from what is present it was manufactured by Mass Arms Company. Has Poultney and Trimble address and smith patent date, lettering well-worn but can be read. Has saddle ring and believe gun was re-blued sometime prior to my purchase in 1992. Have fired the gun myself from loads I received with the gun, and it seemed to shoot well. Lock has good snap. Barrel clean and rifling distinct. Owner prior to me used it for NSSA matches. 2 inspector’s marks on butt stock one appears to be FM inside oblong box, other is same style but I can't make out letters because it goes across grain. Over all some minor nicks/wear as one would expect. Will e-mail additional photos upon request. Asking $1250.00 firm, no trades.
