Macon Arsenal

Hello All,
Are there any identifying markings on muskets that were cut down at the Macon Arsenal? Or how do you know if your 1842 had been cut at Macon?

My late Uncle, Ben Beasley of Atlanta had a Macon "cut down" M1842. I shot it on several occasions. I don't recall seeing any other inspector marks on it other than those placed on it at Harpers Ferry when it was originally made.
