This is an exact copy of an American Revolutionary War Hessian Jaeger Rifle for sale. George Moller's book states that the Hessian Jeager Corps saw service in almost every battle in the American Revolution.
This is an exact copy made by the Rifle Shoppe. This was recreated from an extant original in the West Point museum. The patterns for this firelock were made by Robert Fisch of the West Point Museum.

It has a 28 1/2" octagon tapered and flared barrel in .62 caliber. A nice large Germanic unmarked lock which uses a 3/4" x 7/8" flint. Brass furniture, a working spring loaded wooden patchbox. Two correct rounded iron sling swivels. A large iron and brass-tipped rammer with a threaded internal end for cleaning equipment. A three tier hinged rear sight and a brass blade-front sight.

Overall length is 43" with a 13.5" length of pull (from butt to trigger). The rifle has a nice walnut stock with a European-walnut reddish brown stain and a hand-rubbed oil finish with 4 rubbed out coats of oil. Remarkably light-weight at only 8lbs total. Your arm won't get tired carrying this around.

Email Jim Chocole at anteekguy97@aol.com for pics. Asking $2200 plus shipping/ins. Thanks!
