I can't believe we lost all of the various lube recipes that folks have posted over the years. Can someone give me a recipe for Synthetic oil and beeswax? There used to be one here, but alas, it is no more.
Thanks,

50 / 50 of each is what I used with Jet Engine oil.

I've been using 60% beeswax and 40% home rendered beef tallow (wife was looking at me like I had three eyes when I was rendering the fat but I gave her some for candles and all was good). This was an old civil war receipe. Would I be better served trying something else?

NJCOP, I use the same ingredients. However I find 60/40 too stiff (for me). I usually use 50/50 or 40BW/60TAL. Kurt.

I use 60% beeswax and 40% Crisco melt it together and stir it for 5 or 10 minutes until it is completely combined. I then pour it into paper coffee cups and remelt later to pour into my lubersizers.

I have been using SPG lube (pan dipped and using a pish through sizing die) for the past six years and have absolutely no problems with it with an RCBS 500M minie, 45 grains of 3f GOEX powder, in a Zoli Zouave with a Whitacre barrel. I do not lube the bases of my minies and can get a about 40 shots before it get stiff enough to need a cleaning.

He probably is, but as I'm in Fernandina Beach, I won't see him till Nationals. I'm not sure my stash will last that long.
Respectfully,
