Joslyn Modification

Hello, I'm looking to see if anyone out their has made there Joslyn into a centerfire, I have read that Springfield altered some to 50/70. Has anybody see one, and how did they do it.

I am assuming that you have a 1862 or 1864 Joslyn Carbine in a rimfire caliber. I would not recommend altering it in any way that cannot easily be reversed or you will ruin its collector's value.
