Thanks for the responce Bob but I couldn't get even close to that price. Never heard of sleeving a cylinder; I thought they normally reamed them to barrel size. Must have been way off or damaged.

Tom sleved some 44's to make them 36's. I don't know why he whould sleve a 44 and keep it a 44.

Well I can say is if you shoot it off of a rest it will keep a group the size of a quarter.

"Cabalis has them new on sail for 180.00"

I wish I had time to go to PA and buy one. If you buy one in NJ you have to go through a FFL and pay his fees and before buying it you have to get a state issued pistol permit that takes about 6 weeks to receive. I hate NJ! Heck you even need a gun purchasers permit to buy a BB gun. No I'm not kidding!

There was a guy who had one on this site a short time back:

NJCOP,

I lived in NJ many years ago.

If you buy a rifle or pistol in another state, can you bring it back to NJ?

Maybe if you can retire from the police relatively early, you can get a job working for the police in Texas, and move.

Good Luck,

David

Ron...Any idea what sort of price one of Tom's marked .44s (in almost new condition) are going for these days? I've kept it as backup in case my Witloe broke down, but I don't really need it anymore. Thanks. Jerry
