Does anyone have experience casting and shooting this bullet? Some sources say it casts .541, others say .544 which is what I'd want for my '63 Pedersoli.

Thanks,

I shoot the Pedersoli Ringtail bullet in my Pedersoli Sharps. I have never thrown a mike on one of the bullets simply because they shoot so good-never felt a need to do so.

What is the "Big Deal?" If you get a Pedersoli Sharps mould and it throws an undersize bullet, simply "Lap" out your mould to increase its bullet diameter. Lapping a .541 mould out to .544 (if required) would be almost "child's play."

I have a feeling that IF you do get a Pedersoli Sharps mould the bullets will shoot fine in your Sharps.

I have several in my shop from different moulds, and they average .545/.546 on the back band, and the front band is .524/.526. I know several shooters out west that use these with great success. The only issue as I see it is the ring tail is .50 inch diameter and is shorter than the other ring tails out there.
