Dixie Gun Works has sold the last one of their Japanese Miroku Springfield Kits in a "close out sale." A lot of people believed that the Miroku Springfields were some of the the best Springfield replicas around. Supposedly, the last Miroku Springfield came off the production line almost a decade ago and DGW has just been selling down their stock all of these years. (Apparently, DGW had a lot in the warehouse!)

I don't know IF Miroku will ever produce any Springfields again, either as complete arms or as kits. If they ever do go back into production, I am sure the retail price will be a lot higher.

I picked one at their clearance price. That's why I PM'd you earlier about the repair and glass bedding of the stock. It appears to be a well made piece.

I bought my Miroku Springfield from DGW in 1990 at the introductory price of $400. It has a 2-digit serial number. After 20 years it is still going strong. I'm using the Rapine old style Minie (.580 diameter, 460 grains) with 47.0 grains of Goex FFFg.
