Anybody tried the orange rubber tubes? What kind of tube life are you experiencing?

I bought a bag of 50 and tried them. They did work, but I decided accuracy wasn't as good as the black tubes, so I retired them As a result, I can't comment on durability.

WHOA! The Nepal post is gone. Now I'm afraid everyone will think I've lost my mind!! You know what Dan Quail said, "A mind is a terrible thing to lose."

Yeah and there were so many questions I still had to be answered. Like the ethical dilemma of using some of our old U.S Army psyops on the firing line. For example a number of years while teams were lining up for the musket match, a team started a "chain messaage" down the firing line to wit --
"Tell Harvey Smidlap his wife called. Pass it on."
Of course no skirmisher can perform properly with this on his mind. First of all, who is Harvey Smidlap?? I know I've heard of him someplace. And what could his wife possibly want???
Another example, last spring I innocently called out "FRAME TWELVE" to help orient my shootmates just as the revolver match was beginning. I have what I call a command voice which others submit it's just loud, but anyway many on the line took up the call, and in all honesty from then on all my shots were for all practical purposes superfilous. My targets seemed to magically disappear, whether I fried at them or not.
These are issues that keep me awake at night.

Oh yeah, and back to this rubber tube thing -- I tried them too and also had a big drop in accuracy. I think they're too soft to properly seal the bore.

I had problems getting them in the gun without squishing them. A teammate recommended opening the gun first, then put the round in. As this did work better and make for faster shooting, I still don't like them, they remind me of a prosthetic orafice.
