bent bayonet?

So I bought a repro bayonet from s&4 firearms. Aside from the loose fit, the flat of the blade is aboUt 15 degrees away from the axis of the barrel. I assme this is not correct?

Turns out these things can be bent back into shape by hand.

I have one of theirs and have bent the blade itself pushing it into the ground at Ft Shenandoan in August.
