I have a nicely upgraded reproduction Austrian Lorenz Jaeger for sale. This gun was imported by Greg Edington a number of years ago from the Czech Republic, As the guns coming over were in more of an assembled kit form, I had Greg completely go over it, including a pebble brown finish on the barrel, all metal parts case colored and marked correctly, and the stock properly finished. This gun is marked '002' on top of the barrel, but has a '1' stamped on the bottom. So it is either the prototype or the second one made. I have shot the gun with both the Wilkinson 54 caliber bullets and the Rapine Mississippi minie with the bullet sized .537". I am currently shooting it with the minie and 45 grains of Goex 2f. You can shoot it all day and never need to clean the barrel with this bullet. This Jaeger also has an adjustable trigger pull as Greg added a detente to the tumbler for me. Since it is the shortest legal musket that you can shoot, it loads very quickly. Gun is in the original Austrian configuration and does not have barrel bands or a ramrod channel as were common on the American imports. I believe that the Austrians carried the ramrod in a quiver. Ramrod is included. The gun has a rear sight that is fully adjustable for windage and elevation. Because of all of the upgrades to this gun, I am asking $1,200 for it. It is skirmish ready. Pictures available on request. If you would like to see the gun first hand, I come to most of the skirmshes at Ft. Shenandoah.
