Got a 577 hoyt 3 grove progressive depth barrel today and I am wondering if I should size .576 or .575. What do you guys with hoyts size your minies to?

I shoot His barrels on my muskets , I sized them @ .575 for 15 years,, gun would out shoot me, I had some problems with this die and now I am sizing .576 cause I had found 1 several years back at a good price. End result, seems I cant tell the difference except I could load the .575 a little faster..but like Phil said .576 might be a better place to start, if you get too small they might tumble,,, all barrels are slitely different.

Not that I know of , all I had to do is find the best load for my bullet (575213 lyman 48grn fff Goex) and any decent lube combo (i use MCM) only because it works well on all my bullets( musket, carbine, breechloader). Before that I used bees wax & crisco,,,beeswax & Mobile 1 oil,,,Do-all tool saver & crisco,,and so on. Bobby does very good job on his barrels if you have any problems he will make it right .
