AVAILABLE AGAIN: Correct .69 cal. cartridge tubes!!
Do you shoot a .69 cal. musket, rifle, or smoothbore? Have you ever wished you could get those plastic tubes to hold powder and bullet like everyone uses for their .58 cal. muskets? Now you can!

I have tried the soft vinyl tubes, but I have found them to be too sticky, and too fat. The LDPE tubes are so much better because they have a much thinner wall thickness, so they don't take up nearly as much room as the vinyl ones, and they are not sticky at all, so they slide easily out of your cartridge box when you reach for them. And even better yet, they don't have the flange on the bottom edge (which almost everyone cuts off anyway) so they fit better in your cartridge box and don't grab against each other.
These will work well with round balls for smoothbore, or with the .69 caliber semi-wadcutters. The 0.678 round balls fit nicely. They slide gently into the mouth of the tube, but don't slip all the way to the bottom. The Minies fit nicely past the first driving band, so they fit securely, but you don't have to struggle to get them out.
So, they are great for rifles or smoothbores.

None of the sutlers stock these; I had to find them on my own.

The cost is $10 per hundred (cheaper than the vinyl ones). I can deliver at the Nationals, or I can ship them. Contact me via e-mail or PM.

You should have made a reply like Henry Ford, you can have any color you want, as long as its blue <g>

Ha, that's right!
Well, you can have them in any material you want, as long as it's low-density polyethylene.

Got my tubes today and they look and work perfect. You might want to say a short prayer for me though because when my wife sees that they are Carolina "Tarheel" blue, she's going to kill me. She's a Duke fan and absolutely hates Carolina. Green

Thanks for your understanding, Daddy/Grandpa - you are absolutely going to have to find something else for my smoothie loads - you know I can't touch anything "that color"!!

Hi Glen,

How much powder will these tubes hold with a 69 cal ball on top? Several guys on my team shoot between 80-90 grains of powder with their smoothbores.

Thanks!

Hi Paul,
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you on that. My powder measure went out and I have a new one on the way, to try and get you an accurate answer. I shoot 60 grains and there seems to be enough room for another 30, but I wanted to be sure. Anybody out there who uses these for 90 grains?
