Dear Troops,
I'm sure one or many of you know exactly what size the ball was in the original .69 Smoothbore buck & ball paper cartridge. The shot size would be nice also if possible, perhaps even the thickness of the paper used although I realize this is probably pushing it, but you don't know unless you try! I want to try some historically (Perhaps hysterically?) accurate ammo just for fun :?

Thanks for the kind help this forum has always given.

I believe the numbers you are looking for are 0.67" and 0.31". This varied quite a bit and 0.65 is not uncommon. Not sure about the paper. You will also need authentic binding twine to tie up the ball and 3 buck! :D
