Just got very shootable Burnside-what`s best source for brass? S&S@$4.95? Nice folks in Tenn. want $6.25 each-is theirs any better? Archive search mentions Lodgewood, but web site doesn`t show Burn. cases. Who is Osborne? Any others? Also, .562 RB suggested, any make suitable conical mold? :?: :?:

Post your wants here. I have gotten good buys on burnside brass as well as maynard and others. Whatever you want or need in the C.W. arena, somebody here has an excess and will sell it to you for a good price. Wormey :D

There's two types of brass cases out there. One type has a flat bottom and the other has a concave bottom. The little sliding piece at the back of the breech block has a projection on it that will fit into the type with the concave bottom and provide a better gas seal. The flat bottom case will eventually hammer this projection flat. I got my cases from Lodgewood.

Rapine made a Burnside mould, but he's out of business. You could try NEI Handtools for a .556 bullet.
