Offered here are the following two original Civil War Muskets cimplete with bayonets. These muskets are not the best but they are still priced below what they would go for elsewhere. No FFL required and payment can be either check money order or discreet online payment can be arranged. Please note I will entertain reasonable offers , but keep in mind they are priced real low right now. With the 150th anniversy of the Civil War close at hand the prices on originial guns will continue to climb.

1. Colt manufactured Special Model 1861 ( Dated 1863) .58 caliber rifled musket with 40" barrel. This gun while complete does have its issues. First the bore is in poor condition , in need of heavy cleaning and probally should be relined prior to shooting. Metal is about fair with rusting evident on breech , barrel and lockplate dates march (1863). Original ramrod present. Lock mechanics work well . Stock is original but has crack all the way through wrist that will need repair prior to shooting. Cartouche is visible. Small piece of stock missing on left side of the barrel tang. Enfield bayonet ( missing locking ring and split down the socket ) included. These muskets were called Sepcial Model 1861 because although they look alot like the normal Springfield they were slightly different in the lock construction. Colt borrowed from both the Enfield and the Springfield when he created this musket. This musket is a virtual steal at $560 shipped.SOLD PENDING FUNDS

2. This musket is a 1816 flint lock musket that was converted by the firm of Hewe and Phillips in 1862 to percussion and persumably rifled ( this musket has a very nice smoothbore and is not rifled). H and P conversions are some of the most sought after of the 1816 conversions. Metal condition on this one is about good with some pit marks on leftside of breech , Lock works well and I have fired this musket with blank charges. Stock has gouge on let side and below trigger guard , it also has a period repair on the right side betwen hammer and lockplate , the stock shows other signs of use as well but is servicable. Includes and Origiinal 1816 bayonet that tightly fits the muzzle. Front sling attachment is missing. This musket is also a steal at $575 shipped SOLD PENDING FUNDS
