Now that we have Scott's cute little smoothbore, we need a mold for it. I've been told the Lyman .678 is the best, but I've also been told they are hard to fine. Anyone have one or have an idea of where to get one? By the way Scott, Marty wants to know why it keeps tearing one big hole in the middle of the black when she shoots it. :D

Track of the Wolf has a Lyman .678 RB mould block listed for $63.99. Several years ago when I started shooting smoothbore they were the only ones I could find that had them. When I have dealt with them in the past, their shipping is fairly slow.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just contacted them and one is on the way. I hope that what I heard about Lyman not making them anymore was not correct. Also hope that anyone else needing one might see this post. Thanks again

Jim, I was using a 680 rapine mould. Your probobly gonna have to get some aggressive rasps to rough up those balls. Ferrier files work the best. Good luck.

I actually am a farrier. and have tons of rasp that i sell for a small price, they are plenty sharp enough for roughing up some round balls. if anyone is interested let me know.
