smoothbore front sights

I was wondering what was going on with the front sight issues on the 1842 smoothbore sights. Can you make them strait? I have one thats off. Can I put it in the Proper spot,(centered) or do I have to leave it uncorrect wich is offcenter but manufactured that way. Just want to shoot without worries from inspection, Thanks for your help, I know you have a tough job keeping everyone happy. THANKS!
