It's not too late to buy this for your skirmisher for Christmas........
Mass Arms Co. contract Second Model Maynard .50 cal. carbine.
All-original, with sharp and legible inspectors' cartouches on the walnut stock, as well as on the barrel, front sight, and buttplate.
Barrel is deep blue; receiver is brown-gray patina. Some minor dings and scratches on the solid stock, but still considered a display-grade carbine.
Original sights, sharp bore with impressive rifling and mirror-finish. Bore is PRISTINE! No rust; no pitting, either inside or outside the barrel!
Saddle riding ring and bar fully intact; nothing missing or broken.
Mechanics fully functional and tight with a full set of spare internal lock parts and nipple included (ALL ORIGINAL).
Carbine comes with extra "skirmish buttstock"; a beautifully-figured tiger-stripe maple buttstock (with repro buttplate) from wood sold at the Nationals back in the 80's by Griff Smith, of western Pennsylvania, as well as a brass front sight protector and wood barrel tompion.
Not only is this carbine a collector, it is a tack-driver! I was able to consistently break 10+ pidgeons on the board, as well as routinely pick up more than my assigned share of targets on the other carbine events.
Included also are 300 brass Maynard cases, a custom belt-clipped black leather pouch (handmade by Joe Toth of the 24th Mi of NWT) for spent brass, cleaning rods, carry case, and load data for 50 and 100 yd.
