Offered an opportunity to purchase some P53 Enfields. None of the guns have any markings on the locks. Fit and finish of metal/wood joints looks crude. Could these be Kyber Pass guns?

So my first question is: Did ALL P53 Enfield lock always have markings (such as the Crown and a date)?

Thanks

Yup, P-53 Enfields with no markings on the locks are probably cheap junk. The crude "fit and finish" are another warning.

Yea, you're correct. The dead give-away after a second look was the large semi-arabic numbers on the rear sight whereas the Brits marked the range with very small, and clean digits. Also, the rear sight was located in different positions from gun to gun AND the coup d'grace was that the seller called them "British empire produced".

Kyber Pass, here we come!!

Oh well, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!
