Pennsylvania Bedford styled "poor boy" percussion rifle. Maple stock stained to a dark brown with rubbed back golden highlights. Trimmed in brass furniture this percussion rifle has a sheet brass buttplate, sideplate, and fowler style triggerguard.

The .50 caliber Grn Mountain straight octagon barrel is 36” in length. Cut rifle with eight lands and grooves , with a 1 in 70" twist for patched roundball. Finished to a brown with darker areas of patina. A rear dovetail at 6-1/2" from the breech has been filled with a brass blank. The rear sight is currently mounted 12" from the breech. The front sight is mounted 2" from the muzzle.

Weighing in at 7 pounds the rifle has a trigger reach of 14-1/8”. This is a very handy Eastern woods type rifle.

A grease, or tallow hole has been drilled in the stock.

Professionally-tuned L&R Bedford County percussion lock.

Clean, excellent bore -- great shooter.
