Alright all you Warthog luvin’, Fire & Brimstone breathin’ followers of the Holy Black, if you ever wanted a Dragoon you could build yerself… now’s yer chance.

These are some of the last bits of Colts Signature Series run. (The race was over before they were finished.) I only have these five Dragoon projects to sell. That’s it when they’re gone, they’re gone. I have listed the Dragoon parts that I am selling also. Like the projects, this is a limited deal, no more when they’re gone. If you ever think you might need spare parts, this is the time to salt a few away.

As has been said before, parts for the Colt Signature Series were made by Uberti for Colt.

This is a unique opportunity to build & finish a Dragoon(s) the way you want to. Engraving? Nickle? Original Blue? Old-Been-There-Done-That-&-More-Look?

Sold as kits, you fit & finish & assemble (you are responsible for doing all this safely by the way).

This may be the longest ad ever seen, but hopefully it is a good read, if not just ask & I’ll try to answer.

The Barrels are marked “-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY-“

(Pics show the same small parts as there is no difference in them)

Colt 1st Model Dragoons (pair)

• The frames are “in-the-white” & have no marks or serial #’s. Note: The bolt slots in the frames are of 2nd & 3rd Model (rectangular) as opposed to oval. Cylinders are 1st Model (oval bolt notches). Bolt tips would need to be shaped to fit the oval notches, easily done, but just in case I will include 3 bolts per kit.

Barrel addresses“-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY-“read from muzzle to breech. (1st ‘s according to book, should read breech to muzzle, but you can use the same logic Colt did…use all the inventory in stock, then the “new” parts.)

• Brass back-straps are plain & have not been Signature stamped.
Note: Trigger-guards will need to be fitted to grips/frames . (as you will see in pics the tip of the trigger-guard projecting into the square area of the grip needs to be filed square like the front of the grip.) Grips of course need work fitting & cut for clearance of the Walker style main-spring)

• Cylinders are blued with the cylinder scene on them. Cylinders are numbered. One is 108D the other is 109D, (the 109D is a factory over-stamp.) These were never fired that I can tell. These do have some marks (see pictures) from trail assembly/disassembly, handling &/or storage. Seeing as you will be doing some type of finish to these I don’t think there will be any issues.

• NOTE: the grip-frame screws you see holding things together are fitting & shaping screws, they are just extras I have included so you won’t have to bugger your good ones while fitting thing up & ding trial assembly work.
• You will need to buy the following parts from your favorite parts supplier for each gun: Hammer screw, Wedge spring, Wedge spring pin (or a complete wedge), wedge screw, & Hand assembly.

• I will include the following extra parts PER GUN : (yes, that’s right, 2 guns in a pair means 2X the following) 1 Hammer, 1 Trigger, 1 Main spring, 1 main spring catch stud, 2 bolt springs, 2 bolts, 6 nipples, 1 front sight, 1 loading lever catch, 1 bolt spring screw, all 6 back-strap/ trigger-guard screws, 2 trigger/bolt screws, 1 L-Lever screw, 1 Plunger screw, 3 loading lever catch springs, 1 L-lever catch pin.

• IN ADDITTION: I will include with each pair even more stuff (one of each of the following): 1 Loading Lever in-the-white, 1 Plunger case colored, 1 barrel stud, 1 Mainspring, 1 bolt spring screw, all 6 back-strap/ trigger-guard screws, 2 trigger/bolt screws, 1 L-Lever screw, 1 Plunger screw.

The pair price $840. Shipped in USA where it is legal for you to receive them & me to ship them.
PRICE LOWERED to $750.

Colt Whitneyville-Hartford Model Dragoons (pair)

Colt Whitneyville-Hartford Model Dragoons pre-dates the 1st Model Dragoon, using a Walker back-strap & trigger-guard. They had a very low production, only @ 240.

The frames are “in-the-white” & have no marks or serial #’s.

Note: The frame will need to have the rear edge where it meets the relieved to fit the rounded front of the Walker-style grip.

• Barrel addresses “-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY-“read from breech to muzzle. (Correct for this model)

• Steel back-straps have not been Signature stamped.

One is 117D the other is 118D, (the #’s are factory over-stamp/ restrike.) These were never fired that I can tell.

You will need to buy the following parts from your favorite parts supplier for each gun: Hammer screw, Wedge spring, Wedge spring pin (or a complete wedge), wedge screw, & Hand assembly.

I will include the following extra parts PER GUN : (yes, that’s right, 2 guns in a pair means 2X the following) 1 Hammer, 1 Trigger, 1 Main spring, 1 main spring catch stud, 2 bolt springs, 2 bolts, 6 nipples, 1 front sight, 1 loading lever catch, 1 bolt spring screw, all 6 back-strap/ trigger-guard screws, 2 trigger/bolt screws, 1 L-Lever screw, 1 Plunger screw, 3 loading lever catch springs, 1 L-lever catch pin.

IN ADDITTION: I will include with each pair even more stuff (one of each of the following) : 1 Loading Lever in-the-white, 1 Plunger case colored, 1 barrel stud, 1 Mainspring, 1 bolt spring screw, all 6 back-strap/ trigger-guard screws, 2 trigger/bolt screws, 1 L-Lever screw, 1 Plunger screw.

The pair price $900. Shipped in USA where it is legal for you to receive them & me to ship them.
PRICE LOWERED to $795.00
