I want to remove the sight aperture slider from the ladder. I can't get the aperture low enough for 50 yds. I want to file off the bottom edge to get it lower. How do you remove the 2 pins affixing the slider to the ladder and then put it back together? My front sight is 0.318 high off of the base. I'd prefer not replacing the front sight. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hello Tom. If all you want to do is remove the slider from the ladder, remove the small screw at the top of the ladder and the slider should slip off the top. If you want to remove the complete ladder, it is held on with a single pin that just pushes out. Be careful if you remove the complete ladder. There are 2 small balls and a spring that hold it in the upright position. They will take off when you pull the ladder out of the base and they are very small. Hope this helps.
