Years ago I'd come across a Lyman #57730 minie mold with an after market alternative base plug design, made to provide a straight cylindrical cavity in the base of bullets rather than tapered. And, a small spherical section button at the forward end of the cavity. Anyone here familiar with that design? Were they perhaps intended for loading with a expander plug?
