I have a Sharps carbine that Charlie Hahn reworked. He said that it takes 1.375 tubes. What specific bullet size works best with that?

If you want to use the Hahn tubes, you will need a "ringtail" bullet with about a .5" diameter ring tail. The tubes have a .5" inner diameter.

You need to measure with the bullet you intend to shoot. Charlie has directions on his website. Ask him which one he recommends for your chamber and 1.375 tubes. That said, I have shot several originals and a Pedersoli with the old NEI 54-500 Sharps bullet and they all liked 1.375 in a clean chamber. However.... after a few shots 1.3 works a lot better. Just as accurate and easier to load once the chamber is a little foul.

Here's a video on how to measure your chamber and determine cartridge lengths.
