Up for sale is an 1851 Navy revolver in .36 that I have been meaning to post for a bit now. It is an older Army San Marco (ASM) revolver. I purchased it from Lodgewood. I have been told me that ASM was using the machinery for the Colt 2nd generations soon after the 2nd generation stopped production and there was litigation to cease the unauthorized production. Below are some links discussing the ASM Colt markings for anyone who is interested. There seems to be quite a bit of speculation regarding this ? but no matter how one looks at it the revolver has most of the Colt markings and greatly resembles a Colt second generation. The revolver has no issues and functions as it should.
