Does anybody recognize who made this Zouave barrel? Only marking are this, a serial number and Black Powder Use Only. Got it for a project. I have failed at finding it so far. Thanks.

'BP' means it was proof tested in 2001.

Gary - The "BP" shown on this barrel is not the "Official Italian Government Year Date Proof Code" because it is not inside the required square.

The breech area looks to be a Ranson breech, not a true patent breech as the barrel screws into the breech and it is open all the way to the flash hole. Might be something else, just my opinion and you know what that is worth.
