For sale... I hate to post this but I have not used it since 2017 and do not foresee doing so. M1840 Pomeroy contract musket, Belgian conversion. Overall great condition. I used this in reenacting and living histories. It is really nice enough to look period issue, but not so nice that it belongs in a case or museum. Stock has it's wear but is overall great. Barrel and lock have different dates. No idea when in its life that happened. These were the last flintlocks in the US but had rifled barrels. Bore is clean and sharp. Also includes the nice steel Italian made bayonets (not pictured but will get to that).
One thing I did years ago was replace the original heavy flint mainspring that whacked the hell out of the cone with a lighter one from the Rifle Shoppe. If I can find the original mainspring I'll include it.
