Good morning.
This is my first post.
I have a Ped. Lorenz. I have a Pedersoli mould (.547) made for this rifle en route. It is a Minie ball mold .547.
For those shooting the Lorenz, did you have to size down the bullet? If so, what is recommended to use as a sizer, and what was your experience with how much to size down?

Most skirmishers shoot a minie that is .001" to .002" under the bore size. Since it's Pedersoli, I'd cast some minies and see if they slip into the bore without sizing. (Drop a 6" piece of round stock, or a 1/4" drive socket extension in the barrel so you don't lose the minie)
Start there and see what you have. I have a good opinion of Pedersoli quality, You might be ok for starters.

You're welcome.

Make sure your lead is dead pure. Any alloying metal (tin, antimony, wheel weights) will cause the bullet to be
oversized, affecting your results.
