Is anyone familiar with Armi San Marco (ASM) 1851 parts and what parts are interchangeable with other companies?

I found ASM parts on a few websites like VTI. My question was asking if any companies still in production today might be interchangeable like Pietta and Uberti, etc.

Hello Trent. I have an ASM 1860 army and a Euroarms 1851 Navy. I once used the parts from the Euroarms navy to make emergency repairs to the ASM army with no problems. The parts from the Euroarms are still in the ASM. Ordered new parts to repair the Euroarms. I think trigger, springs, hand and stop will all interchange. I hope this helps.

Thank you Joe! That is good to know. Have you tried to see how the barrel and frame fit each other? I'm curious if the ASM barrel will fit a Euroarms frame.

Trent, I know you are asking about Colt 1851 but I have a Pietta 1860 army and an ASM 1860 army. I tried swapping barrel and cylinder. The barrel of the Pietta will fit the ASM, but has too much gap between the cylinder and the barrel. Appears the cylinder on the Pietta is slightly longer. Also, the cylinder pin diameter in the ASM is slightly smaller than the Pietta. The ASM barrel will not fit the Pietta cylinder pin. With a little fitting the parts may be interchangeable. I hope this helps. I need an ASM barrel myself, but they are not available anywhere. I may order a Pietta barrel and try to fit it to the ASM. Taylor and Dixie both have them in stock.

That's more or less what my thoughts were and I appreciate you letting me know.
