Hi,

Is there a spec sheet on a 1842 Short Rifle? I would like to know what the min and max barrel length is "permitted" for the short rifle variant. I have seen them from 31"-33" and want to know what min length is allowable for musket competitions.

I also have questions about caliber. Were they all .69 or any converted to .58?

Thank you

The reproduction of it is just about my favorite muzzleloader.
Hope to see the historical info.

The only 1842 short rifle I'm aware of is the Fremont version. It is 69 caliber rifled with long range sights. It must have an 1847 Springfield lock.

Yep the Fremont.

I have a new repop that I may consider parting with if that is what you are after. All were 69 cal that I know of
