Up for sale is an original 1860 dated London Arms Company 3 band Enfield British Volunteer Rifled Musket. (Not to be confused with what is marketed in the US as a Volunteer rifle)
I bought this around 1999-2000 (still looking for the import paperwork), just outside London, England, from the great great grandson of the original purchaser. Was purchased new at Blanch & Sons, 29 Grace Church Street, in London. British ?Volunteers? or as we know them as, Militia, supplied their own weapons.
The Enfield is in exc shape, with a nice bore, except for the last inch or so.
Again, this is not an American Civil War usage gun. Top one in picture
$2000 shipped in lower 48 or $1900 picked up
2nd is an undated 1854 model Austrian Lorenz. I believe this one was here for CW usage.
I believe the barrel has about an inch cut from it. Stock is spliced under rear band. I have some of the adjustable rear sight parts (which leads me to believe it was an original Union import) but just have to put my hands on them
$750 shipped or $650 picked up (obo)
located in Liberty, MS
