my calvary carbine sling snap hook IS a civil war item. It is NOT marked o.b. North. It is merely marked with a large number '7' So, if anyone comes across a carbine snap hook with a '7', they will know it is legit (except for those re-pros) and is from the civil war, not indian wars........
