Ballard 44 Caliber Carbine for Sale

Original Ballard 44 caliber carbine converted to center fire set up for 44 Special cartridges. Flip up sights adjusted for 50- and 100-yards with taller front sight. Serial number matching receiver and barrel with 24 inch octagonal barrel.. All markings complete. Gun was originally 32 caliber but was rerifled for 44 caliber with "No 32" marked on barrel. Nice trigger pull. $1,175 delivered to Fort. This carbine is a civilian model and not approved for NSSA matches. It could be altered, but I personally would not want to wreck an original gun like this. I have the original sights for the gun.

Jim, Wish it was able to be approved to shoot in the N-ssa. It's a very good price for a civilian model.

Updated listing to show that it is not a skirmish approved model. It is still a fun gun to shoot with 44 Special brass, dies, and bullets readily available. I use 24 grains of Goex 3f with 240 to 260 grain bullets. Powder charge fills case nicely, so no filler is needed. Modern rerifling looks new.
