original 1841 Mississippi rifle for sale

I'm working on an original 1841 rifle and will have it ready by Nationals. It is the type E conversion with long range sights. It is an 1852 Remington with an original barrel lined by Hoyt 58 caliber in a multigroove configuration. The stock is original except stretched at the lower band. All furniture is original except for the front band. The lock has all new innards. I did not try to make it pretty. It shows it's age as it should. No pictures as it is all in pieces now. I can have it at the Potomac for viewing if interested. I'll be in the tower. The price is $1500. PM if interested.

It's assembled but not totally finished. I'll have it at the Potomac Regional this weekend if anyone would like to see it. Still no pictures. I still need to shoot it to make sure the sights are centered for windage, tune the lock and brown a few parts. I'll be working the Regional skirmish and will be in the tower all weekend. I think the snow will be melted by them and maybe Sunday will be near 80. Go figure!
