What is the thread size for an original 1853 Enfield musket nipple? And the thread size for a Euroarms musket nipple?

Gil, you may need to recheck. I had to put a nipple in a Euroarms Enfield yesterday and it took a 5/16X20 thread. That is the same as 8X1.25mm thread, which is what I actually put in it. I'm thinking Euroarms used different thread pitches at different times in different guns. What a mess. Thanks. jh

Check Track of the Wolf. They are selling 8-1.25mm for Euroarms and 8-1.0mm for Armisport.

I need to ask one of your guys that is good with tooling...
Maybe Tom Chrone and his lovely wife, come to mind.

Maybe punch out some thread gauges that have all the common sizes.
For a few $$ you will have a metal slug about the size of a business card 1/4" thick with all the common thread sizes for the muskets.
