I want to try to reload the used musket caps up to a power level of the old CCI 300 caps to shoot in my Erma Gallagher.

Just a thought, why not just add to the new caps to make them hotter? Would think that would take time and effort?

That was plan B, but as the new compound is put in wet, it may kill the compound already in the musket cap.

Only one way to find out, I think it would work just fine and not kill what is already in the fresh cap.

I'm not ready to give up on plan A yet.

I've been collecting caps that I think would suit your purpose.

Will you be at Nationals this week? I could bring them.

I found several tins of old Navy Arms caps for cheap so I'll be going that route. Thanks to all!
