My daughter is interesting in Joining and Shooting. She is very petite. I am looking to buy a 2 band Springfield or something as light. Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

You may want to keep checking the ads, maybe a Zouave might fit the bill. Usually priced right. Good luck!

Scott look for an Amoskeag Colt...they are the lightest musket I have ever handled.

If you can find an original Enfield P-56, Lorenz Extracorps or a cut down 2 band Springfield "Artillery Rifle", those are about the lightest arms that qualify for Musket. The repros rifles have heavier barrels than originals, but they are still lighter than a 3 bander.

Another choice for young, small, shooters is a Richmond Armory Razeed Springfield Rifle (2 Band). They weigh a touch over seven pounds.
