WTS - I.N. Johnson 1842 Pistol

For your consideration I am offering for sale an I.N. Johnson, single shot 54 caliber, smoothbore pistol. The lock indicates that it was manufactured in Middleton Conn. in 1853. There is an honest overall patina with no appreciable pitting. There is a small section of wood/metal behind the drum that shows slight deterioration, the stock has no cracks or sections missing, but does have some slight dings and scratches with most of the original finish intact. The inspectors proofmark is prominently stamped on the upper left breech area. The bore is relatively smooth with no indication of any deep pitting.
