Moose Mold .54 Cal Trash Can Bullet

Hi folks,
I'm thinking of getting the Moose Mold .54 Cal Trash Can Bullet. Was hoping someone could speak of how that shot for them. Thanks for any input.

This would be for a 1863 .54 cal. Getting a sense that not many people shoot this bullet.

If you're talking about a Mississippi, then it's .54. An 1863 Springfield will nominally be a .58.

Does a trashcan shoot? Maybe......

Thanks Jack for the response and the picture. I have a Shiloh 1863 .54 cal musket and an 1859 54 cal carbine. Nice shooting.

The Moose France bullet shoots like a champ in my old Shiloh '63 rifle. A little tough to attach to a cartridge since it doesn't have a reduced base but it can be done. Might want to give it a look.

The Moose made me a France bullet with a short ringtail. I called it the "Bobtail". It holds the tubes just fine with Elmer's glue and also "shot like a champ" in my Shiloh.
