Good sir I believe this is a second generation PH. Otherwise this would be closer to $2500 in the condition it's in. In otherwords it's a 1970's production weapon and not a 1860's.

sir there are two types of parker hale repros. the ones of the best quality were the first generation models which i believe were made in england. the second generation models were made in italy. most skirmishers take this information for granted and would not have thought this carbine was an original. if it had been the seller would most likely have mentioned that it was. i didnt want you to think he was giving you the wrong info.
