Model 1816 Wickham for sale. Lock marked PHIL 1834 & US, M.T. WICKHAM. This M.T.Wickham musket was originally a .69 caliber flintlock which was later converted to percussion. Appproximately 50 years ago it was reconverted back to flintlock.
I received the following information from John Holland: This alteration back to flint is the only one that is allowed for use in the N-SSA. This is because the vent is plugged with a threaded plug. If it had been welded up then it would not be allowed to be used. The reason the N-SSA rules disallow any welding on the breech of a musket.
I will have this musket at the Fall Nationals. $1250 obo
