So a new shooter on our team bought one of these for his Enfield:

https://www.ssfirearms.com/proddetail.asp?prod=58S148A&fbclid=IwAR3uprC1L183GVmO36f2j3OtsHu8REuAAp_jsg-tFjFfVCXqZekbtrcyoQ0

And took it to the local gunsmith to have a dovetail cut and the sight put in place.

Unfortunately the gunsmith "helped him" and also cut it shorter to match the original sight being replaced. Now, of course, the gun shoots high again and so needs a taller front sight post once again.

SS Firearms is not accepting orders right now due to the death of the owner.

Anyone know another place to get one of these sights?

Thanks,
Steve

Try lodgewood. They sell alot of the same stuff as S & S.

See if the smith will mill out the blade so he can add a new blade.
Smith carbines are like that along with others. Some of my early sights like that were 2 piece sights.
Finding steel for the blade should be easy.

That is what I suggested he do. If the gunsmith can't/won't do it, I can. I just replaced the blade on my Smith this way.

Dan Whitacre also carries those sights.
