Sharps nipple flash hole size.

My Pedersoli Sharps has a nipple with a rather large flash hole, similar to original musket nipples. I get occasional misfires. Am I better off with a nipple with a smaller flash hole?

I had a Pedersoli Sharps and my problem was that the flash channel in the breech block was noticeably larger than in my Shiloh. A trip to my man in Michigan for a liner fixed the trouble.
