I'm looking to purchase a used Armisport 1842 Springfield Smoothbore. Defarbed or not. It doesn't matter to me.

Some of our readers may not be familiar with the term "defarbed." This descriptive application was borrowed from the poultry industry describing a cockerel made more succulent via neutering.

Likely he'll want to know if it's been "defarbed" although technically I don't believe that means it's been neutered.
