Just something for fun, I'm going to try using this minie as a "Pritchett" style bullet in a .610 bore rifle.

The bands were precision ground to drop at 0.586" diameter.
I suppose a coarse paper wrap and wax lube dip will be tried. The original Pritchett bullets were used at .550" diameter in the 0.577" bored guns. This combo should give slightly less windage. But, my rifling grooves are fairly deep so I'm sure slamming it pretty hard will be needed for there to be much hope of sealing the bore.

Great minds think alike, I just got a .557 Lyman to do the same with in my .577 Enfield just for fun. Never know until you try.

This one has the base plug that attaches to the bottom so I need to get to town and find some replacement #10-32 screws and washers.
